Your teacher this year is Miss Riley and your LSA is Miss Edwards.
We offer morning sessions to 3 – 4 year olds. Nursery starts at 8:45 am, doors are open from 8:40am. Nursery sessions finish at 11:45am.

Every Friday children choose a library book to take home from our nursery library box. Bookbags are provided.
The children have settled into nursery extremely well this half term and have enjoyed lots of activities. Please keep checking our class page as we regularly share all the learning and fun that takes place in nursery via Chatter.
We follow the EYFS curriculum and offer exciting, fun and engaging learning opportunities and experiences both indoors and outdoors.
On Thursday mornings we have lots of fun riding the bikes and scooters on the big playground.
Nursery class have been observing caterpillars this half term. We waited two weeks for the caterpillars to turn into cocoons (just like The Very Hungry Caterpillar) and this week they transformed to butterflies. We gave the butterflies fruit and sugar before going outside to release them into the lovely sunshine. They were very friendly and we managed to hold some of them!
Nursery class have been counting and acting out the song Five Little Speckled Frogs. We are practising subitising by saying the number straight away without the need to count.
Nursery enjoyed learning about farm animals with Farmer Marie and Farmer Phil. The children found out lots of interesting facts and got the opportunity to stroke, hold and feed the animals. It was such a fun morning!
This morning, Nursery class read the story Mr Wolf’s Pancakes and tasted some delicious pancakes at snack time. We also made funny face pancakes using our sticking and gluing skills. Well done, Nursery. It has been a lovely morning.
This week in Nursery we have been learning all about winter animals including naming and describing them and finding out where they live. We have also been developing our painting skills by painting snowmen.
The children in Nursery showed great enthusiasm as they went on a hunt to find numeral 3 cards that were hidden around the room. We have also played number 3 bingo and matched up 3 piece jigsaws. Well done everyone!
This morning we arrived at nursery to find some of our toys had been frozen. Oh no! We worked together to break the ice to rescue our toys using warm water and plastic tools. Well done, Nursery!
Nursery class had lots of fun exploring the snow and making a snowman with our friends in Reception Class. After our winter walk we enjoyed a nice cup of hot chocolate.
Nursery class found lots of autumn treasures on their walk yesterday morning. We found conkers, acorns, sticks and lots of different coloured and sized leaves.
It has been lovely welcoming our children back to Nursery. The children have had lots of fun this morning exploring the indoor and outdoor environment and playing with all of their friends. We are looking forward to meeting our new Nursery friends on Monday.
We invited our families to watch our end of year musical showcase! We sang a selection of songs we have learnt accompanied with percussion instruments.
As part of our Whole School Road Safety Week, each class went on a Road Safety Walk around our local area to raise awareness in our community and share some important road safety messages.

Nursery and Reception had lots of fun taking part in the daily mile. We completed three laps of jogging, walking and jumping. It was tiring but very fun. We are looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow!
Nursery class enjoyed tasting lots of delicious fruits this morning including strawberries, grapes, apples and blueberries. The most popular fruit in nursery is strawberries! Yum yum!
This morning in Nursery we said goodbye to our butterflies. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow from tiny hungry caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. We managed to hold one of the butterflies before it flew away. What an exciting morning!
In Nursery we are learning about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our friend and looks after us. We took streamers and bubbles outside to demonstrate the Holy Spirit is a feeling, like the wind, we can’t see it, but we know it is there.
Science Week: Nursery Class had lots of fun exploring shadows using animal puppets, a white sheet and torches. When we have some sunshine we are going to see if we can find our own shadows!
Instead of throwing away the daffodils from our observational drawings we took them outside and took a close look inside the flowers and stems using our magnifying glasses and tweezers.
This half term our topic is ‘Sunshine and Sunflowers’. We sequenced cards showing the life cycle of a sunflower and planted our own sunflower seeds. We are very excited to see them starting to grow.
Nursery class had an exciting morning. We helped Farmer Gregg and Farmer Marie feed the animals their breakfast. We also stroked the animals and some children felt brave enough to hold a rat. Well done everyone.
Reception – Choosing instruments to make icy sounds

We chose different sounds and instruments for the different icy pictures, such as smooth soft sounds for shiny ice, twinkly sounds for glittery ice and dripping sounds for the icicles.
Nursery enjoyed making red play-dough. We measured out the ingredients and mixed it all in a large bowl. To make the play-dough we used flour, salt, oil, food colouring and cream of tar tar. We took it in turns to help pour and mix the Ingredients.
Nursery Class have had a lovely morning taking part in activities for French Day. We looked at the colours of the French flag and coloured in our own French flag. We listened to Nursery Rhymes in French and tasted yummy croissants and brioche buns. What a busy morning!
Nursery class enjoyed going on a walk in the woods to collect autumnal objects. We found lots of different coloured leaves, conkers, sticks and acorns. On our walk through the woods we could hear birds tweeting and could see birds nests. It was an exciting morning.
