In our art lessons we have been working on self portraits. It was a lot of fun and we worked very hard on them!

368We took a trip around our local area, we looked at landmarks, discussed places we recognised and have visited. We also stopped at key points and created a meaningful map of what we could see.
374Today was a lot of fun! We made playdoh numbers, cheerio towers, shapes with straws and shape monsters!
380In maths we used different manipulatives and tens frames to add numbers within 20.
331In Year 1 we used blank number lines and cubes to make number lines to 20 accurately.
365To raise money for the Wish Upon a Star charity we completed our Elf Walk and brought in our sponsorship money. It was a lot of fun, we had elf hats, we danced, sang and played instruments.

323As a class we discussed fairtrade and why it is important. We then had a debate on how much money should be given to each role for it to be fair. It was very interesting!

224Today we looked at artwork from many different countries showing when Jesus was born. We spoke about what we liked about each and then moved onto a P4C activity to make our votes. The winning artwork was Egypt and is now up on our class display.
221During Parliament week, in our RE lesson we each voted on which artwork from around the world we liked the best. The most popular artwork went up on our display.
188In year 1 we decided to investigate how birds build their nests. We designed and built a nest, then tested it against wet and windy conditions.
